positions
FESTIVAL
Arts Festival jury committee member-
Responsible for being one
of five jurors for the Warren County
Arts Festival, attending jury committee
meetings, and scoring applicants to the
Warren County Arts Festival.
There are usually at least four
jury committee meetings from February to
April, and then some email jurying as
the show approaches.
Jurors may assist with jurying
concerns the day of the show (if they
are available), and contributing ideas
for changes/refinements to the show
application or jurying process.
Qualifications-A good working
knowledge of visual art, art making
processes, and/or experience with retail
sales of art or art marketing.
Report to Festival Committee Jury
Chair.
Chairperson for the young artists
division of the Warren County Arts
Festival -
Person needed to organize
and manage a new Junior Artist
Exhibition for the 2011 Festival of the
Arts.
Responsible for publicizing and
soliciting student applicants to a
juried student division of the Warren
County Arts Festival, and then assisting
the student artists with check-in,
set-up, and tear-down the day of the
show.
It is anticipated that this
person would make contact with local
high schools and colleges (art teachers
and art departments) to locate young
artists interested in learning how to
display and sell their artwork through
an Arts Festival venue. Festival of Arts
jury will review applicant’s artwork and
provide feedback to artists upon
acceptance/denial.
Report to Festival Committee Jury
Chairperson.
Festival of Arts Hospitality Chairperson
–
Person needed to take
charge of food vendors and artists’
hospitality at the Warren County Arts
Festival.
Person will contact food vendors
to solicit their applications for the
Festival, as well as manage the artists’
hospitality center the day of the
Festival.
Person will organize and
purchase/solicit donations for food for
hosipitality center, as well as
arranging for volunteers to staff the
hospitality center during the Festival.
Report to Festival Committee
Chairs.
Festival of the Arts Patio Garden
Chairperson –
Person needed to establish
patio areas on the corners of Mulberry
and Mechanic for the day of the Arts
Festival.
Person will seek vendors willing
to put up garden furniture/decorations
for use by Festival goers the day of the
Festival, in return for advertising in
the Patio Garden and Festival program.
Report to the Festival Committee
Chair(s).
Festival of the Arts Entertainment
Chairperson -
Person needed to secure
entertainment of all types working
within the established Festival budget
for the day of the Festival and to
provide support for the Children’s Art
Activities Area. May include
securing donations/discounts for
chairs/tables for Children’s Activity
Area and other performances.
Encourage both not-for-profit and
for-profit performing arts groups to
provide at least one free performance in
the
Performance Circle during
the day of the Festival (Warren County
organizations such as Lebanon Theatre
Company, Ballet Tech, independent Dance
Studios, etc.). Goal is to have
one performance begin every hour on the
hour from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m.
Types of entertainment desired: music,
performing arts, face painting, mask
making, juggling etc. Includes securing
volunteers to assist with entertainment
set up/tear down, etc. during Festival.
Reports to Festival Committee

MARKETING
Warren County Arts Council and Festival
of the Arts Marketing Committee
Members –
Marketing committee members
will assist in promoting the Warren
County Arts Council and the events that
it sponsors.
Committee members will assist in
compiling lists of media outlets for
press releases, writing content for
press releases and advertising, working
with graphic designers in laying out
ads, and working with sellers of
advertising in placing ads.
Committee members may also work
directly with media outlets to encourage
press and digital articles about the
Arts Council and the events that it
sponsors.
This position reports to the
Marketing Chairperson(s).
GRANTS
Warren County Arts Council Grant
Committee members -
Grant Committee members
will help to find, write, apply for, and
procure grant money for purposes
determined by the board.
Committee members will also
prepare and file any follow-up reports
of results for foundations which have
granted money.
Examples of financial needs
include advertising, art education, art
performances, and operating expenses.

SCHOLARSHIP
Education Scholarship Chair-
FILLED
(Note: Individual must be a
WCAC board member.)
Responsible for oversight
in the direction, funding, and staffing
of the Education/Scholarship committee.
This individual provides WCAC
Board updates on Education/Scholarship
Committee status, and seeks WCAC Board
approval on committee efforts as needed.
Approvals include, but are not
limited to requests for WCAC board
funding for WCAC funded arts
scholarship(s) and expenses,
recommendations for new scholarship
sponsors, solicitation for Arts
Education grant money and programs, and
any new Arts Education/Scholarship
direction.
This individual must have
available for use digital communications
capabilities commensurate with the
duties performed, including email, as
well as good organizational and
communication skills.
Scholarship Administrator-
FILLED
Responsible for maintenance
of the WCAC Scholarship program.
This person sets timelines for
the scholarship process, and coordinates
committee meeting times and places.
Activities include the
development, review, and update of
Scholarship Guidelines in conjunction
with committee members, as needed.
The Scholarship Administrator
forms and selects the Ad Hoc Scholarship
Selection committee, and ensures the
proper instruction is given to the Ad
Hoc Scholarship Selection committee.
This person provides applicant
packets to each Ad Hoc Scholarship
Selection committee member, and
schedules the Ad Hoc Selection Committee
Applicant Review meeting(s) and
place(s).
If necessary, this person
schedules applicant(s) interview dates.
After selection of winners is
determined, this person: notifies
scholarship winners and parent(s);
ensures award recipients understand
their responsibilities; generates WCAC
scholarship certificates; validates
winners’ school enrollments; and
coordinates with WCAC Treasurer’s
issuance of award checks to the
validated scholarship winners.
It is desirable that this
person have a level of competency in the
use of digital communications
commiserate with the duties performed,
as well as good organizational and
communication skills.
This individual must have
available for use word processing
software and email capabilities.
It is desirable that this
individual also have access to Adobe for
pdf document creation.
School Liaison-
Responsible for
establishing and maintaining community
relationships between the WCAC Arts
Education/Scholarship committee and the
local schools.
Activities include, but are not
limited to WCAC Arts Education
communications with area schools. This
person keeps current the Warren County
High School counselors’ email addresses,
and submits WCAC scholarship guidelines
to Warren County High School counselors
yearly. Email reminders are also sent
out to area high school counselors.
In coordination with the
Scholarship Promoter and the Marketing
Committee scholarship availability
articles are submitted to appropriate
media outlets, including social media
networks.
Announcements of scholarship
winners are also provided to the
schools.
This job may involve reviewing grant
material for community applicability and
assisting grant writer(s) in grants
related to Art Education.
It is desirable that this
person have a level of competency in the
use of digital communications
commensurate with the duties performed,
as well as good organizational and
communication skills.
This individual must have
available for use email capabilities.
Sponsor Liaison-
Responsible for maintaining
and enhancing existing
relationships with WCAC
Education/Scholarship sponsors, and for
securing renewed funding from the
existing sponsors.
This person asks existing
sponsors for their continued support.
Efforts include reviewing
existing scholarship guidelines with
sponsors for changes, and requesting
changes through the
Education/Scholarship committee, as
appropriate.
This individual is responsible
for ensuring delivery of the sponsors’
checks to the WCAC Treasurer in a timely manner.
The Sponsor Liaison coordinates
with other WCAC committees to ensure
each sponsor receives proper “thank you”
and appropriate sponsor acknowledgment
(events, PR, media exposure, etc), and
end-of-year report reflects true value
of their donation(s), including in-kind
donations.
This individual must have

Sponsor Canvasser-
Responsible for the
solicitation of new, external
scholarship funding sponsors using
scholarship guidelines.
The person also recommends to
Education/Scholarship committee new
business and individual scholarship
sponsors.
Fund raising and solicitation
efforts for Arts Education are included
in this job.
Efforts include, but are not
limited to, business and individual
contacts for sponsorship and grant
funding avenues.
This person reviews and
recommends art grants under the
Education/Scholarship purview and
coordinates efforts with the Grant
subcommittee.
This individual must have
available for use digital communications
capabilities commensurate with the
duties performed, including email, as
well as good organizational and
communication skills.
Education/Scholarship Promoter-
Responsible for the
promotion of Arts Education and the WCAC
Scholarship program
throughout the local communities,
schools, and businesses in conjunction
with existing WCAC efforts and
independently.
Efforts include the use and
dissemination of existing material and
the development of new material for
education/scholarship promotion and for
arts educational purposes. Website
material, other social media outlets,
and materials requested by other WCAC
committees are appropriate means for
promotion and communication under the
Education/Scholarship Promoter’s
purview. This includes the submission of
WCAC scholarship availability
articles, and the announcements of
scholarship winners to
appropriate media outlets, including
social media networks.
As deemed appropriate, on going
opportunities are identified and actions
coordinated for the promotion of the
WCAC Scholarship program with existing
local.
Such activities might cover the
recognition of scholarship
recipients’ with certificates, as well
as the coordination photo ops.

Ad Hoc Scholarship Selection Committee
Members
(participation requests are reviewed, as
needed) -
Members review applicants,
and rate applicants using rating
methodology and following scholarships’
criteria.
Members attend the Selection
Review meeting, and provide input to the
scholarship selection.
If necessary, the member
interviews applicants.
Selection of recipients is the
committee’s decision and follows
scholarship selection guidelines
Members must have available
for use digital communications
capabilities, including email.
Members must be willing to follow
the scholarship guidelines and strive to
maintain objectivity in their decision
making process.
